WPFW Is Looking For Filmmakers - 6/18

On Sunday, June 22, at WPFW’s Jazz and Justice Festival at Malcolm X Park, WPFW invites community filmmakers to join the music. During the Jazz and Justice Festival, in the Josephine Butler Parks Center adjacent to Malcolm X Park, WPFW will host a Community Film Showcase celebrating liberatory stories of resistance, resilience, and rhythm. Short works, twelve minutes or less, whether first‑time experiments or seasoned productions, will be welcomed for submission at This email address is being protected from spambots. The WPFW Relocation Committee is in the process of reenvisioning what studio space for a progressive, community-based and community-supported radio station should be in the coming decade or more.  We wish to ensure that a new, more permanent home will meet current needs and those less foreseeable in the future.  In that regard, we are asking all WPFW stakeholders (listeners, donors, programmers, staff, community activists, etc.) to share your thoughts and insights by taking the short survey by clicking on the link below.  Be creative!
